Hives are a very common condition in children. They present as itchy, red and white raised welts or bumps on the skin. its are not contagious and they can
last for a few hours to a few days, though in some acute and chronic cases, they may stay for a few weeks. Its appear when the body releases histamines in reaction to an
allergy or even from heat, anxiety, infection or changes in temperature. If your child has hives, there are simple ways to treat the welts either using home remedies or by
getting a prescription from your child’s pediatrician.
A few tips :
Apply calamine lotion, 1% hydrocortisone cream,
Or a mixture of baking soda and water for itch.
Put your child in a cool bath for 10 minutes.......
